What is Formagination?

Formagination is a leading international TV format competition that introduced the world to hits like Sex Tape, Date in Reverse, and Marry Me Now. For more than a decade, it has served as a unique launching pad for extraordinary creativity, turning great ideas into TV hits. Formagination is back for its 12th edition – so, if you're tired of watching the same old shows on TV and have a fresh idea that turns TV formats on their heads, send it to us today!

Taking place during the crossover day of Realscreen Summit, the largest and most influential global gathering for the unscripted industry, and NATPE Global, North America's premier content marketplace, this competition maximizes exposure to key decision makers and puts your format idea at the heart of the industry!

What Will You Get as a Formagination Finalist?

1. If you become a Formagination finalist, you'll get the close guidance and mentorship of the Armoza Formats' Development Team to help you prepare for the live event, sharpen your pitch, adjust your format to the international market and improve your pitch materials. This means being guided and mentored by experts who will help you sharpen your presentation, develop a punchy pitch, and create an engaging presentation that will set the tone and improve your format idea's potential.

2. You will get a complimentary pass to two major media events that see industry executives and decision makers coming together under one roof: Realscreen Summit and NATPE Global 2025. This will give you access to leading media personnel, insights, and exclusive talks as well as facilitate your participation in the Formagination live pitch competition on Wednesday, February 5.

Travel and lodging expenses are not covered by Armoza Formats or Realscreen/NATPE.

What Could You Win?

Three prizes will be awarded at the live presentation of Formagination, as follows:

1st place winner: up to $25,000 US, which shall be awarded in TWO STAGES - $5,000 for further development of the format, and up to $20,000 (which may be invested by Armoza in further development of the idea for format), as well as one (1) registration to Realscreen Summit 2026 and NATPE Global 2026
2nd place winner: one (1) registration to Realscreen Summit 2026 and NATPE Global 2026
Audience favorite: one (1) registration to Realscreen Summit 2026 and NATPE Global 2026
